Tailwinds for the INTERALPIN Golf Trophy 2016

The ropeway industry is perfectly able to cope with the challenge of strong winds, and the 70 participants in the 7th edition of the INTERALPIN Golf Trophy on the Olympia Golf Course Innsbruck-Igls were eager to rise to this challenge.

The golf enthusiasts from the ropeway and tourism industries came from Austria, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland. The windy conditions did not do any harm to their golf swings; instead they enjoyed this competitive industry get-together with bright sunshine, culinary delights and the unique mountain scenery as a backdrop.

The tournament was held in a relaxed and easy-going atmosphere with lots of opportunities to putt, chat and network. As Stefan Kleinlercher, project manager of INTERALPIN and initiator of the golf trophy put it: “The success story of INTERALPIN continues on the golf course. For the industry leaders the trophy is a lot of fun and an ideal networking opportunity.”

Interesting flight constellations consisting of representatives from the companies Doppelmayr, Technoalpin, Sitour or Chairkit played twice the 9 holes according to Stableford and competed for the popular industry trophy.

“Since the golf trophy has become a very entertaining yet informal event, we have decided to stage the tournament again next year”, states Director Christian Mayerhofer, CEO of Congress Messe Innsbruck as the organiser of the INTERALPIN trade show.
