20th Interalpin beats all records

Visitor and exhibitor survey reveals high satisfaction levels

With an increase in visitor numbers of 11 per cent, Interalpin 2013 has achieved record scores. These results further strengthen the event's undisputed position as the world's leading trade fair for Alpine technologies.

No fewer than 21,600 trade visitors from over 70 countries and from all continents were present from 10 to 12 April at the Innsbruck Messe … and that meant that hotels up to a 30km radius of Innsbruck were fully booked up. About 60 percent of visitors came from abroad, underlining the international nature of the leading trade show for the cable car industry.

On behalf of the Congress und Messe Innsbruck, the Swiss market research institute for exhibition organisers, Wissler & Partner, carried out surveys on all three days of the fair among visitors and exhibitors and, according to Armin Wissler, the results show some of the best data he has ever collected. Some 90 percent of visitors to the Interalpin rated it as either very good or good. They put particular stress on the many new products, the good overview of the industry and also the large and diverse offering. Nearly half of the visitors came with every intention of buying. The good mood among the exhibitors resulted not only from full order books, but also from the fact that many business deals were signed off at the stand.

At 50 percent the interest in the summer attractions offered by the ski areas was very high. In the field of rapid transport technologies the Interalpin has been the leader for years and demand was correspondingly strong. Moreover, the industry is also addressing themes such as environmental protection and sustainability in ski and leisure areas, plus the use of the latest IT solutions, such as apps for winter and summer sports.

Convention  and Exhibition Centre Director Christian Mayerhofer commented: "80 percent of visitors stated that they fully intended to be here for the next Interalpin. As for exhibitors, some 80 percent said they wanted to attend the next Interalpin from 15 from 17 April 2015. Based on this encouraging result, we will be giving the Interalpin world trade fair an even greater boost and expanding Innsbruck as a venue."

Interalpin on the climb again

Already six months before the Interalpin’s opening on 10 April 2013 at the Innsbruck Exhibition Centre the world’s leading trade fair for alpine technologies boasts an excellent number of registrations. With many new companies enrolled, also the international character could be raised once more.

On the theme of all-year-round use of ski areas the Interalpin is planning new attractions within its outdoor fields. As to urban mobility, ropeways and cable drawn railways are increasingly important.

The Interalpin 2013 will take place for the first time at the totally refurbished Innsbruck Exhibition Centre offering a greatly improved infrastructure in a number of fields such as clearly structured halls, easier delivery, new entry areas, accessibility, air-conditioning and so on.

The Austrian Uphill-Convention will take place on 10 April at the Innsbruck Exhibition Centre, the O.I.T.A.F. Seminar on 11 April at the Innsbruck Congress Centre.

Interalpin heading for record again

November 24th, 2010

The number of registrations is so satisfactory that the Interalpin project manager Stefan Kleinlercher expects a new record during the Interalpin trade show on 4-6 May 2011 at the Innsbruck exhibition centre. There is a remarkably increased interest on the part of French, Swiss and Italian companies, but also from overseas. Regarding the actual facts the Interalpin trade show will again present a number of global product novelties.

The construction works of the new Innsbruck Exhibition Centre are going according to plan and so there is hope to use parts of the new Centre for the Interalpin in May 2011.

The Meeting of the Austrian Uphill Transportation Systems Operators for the first time will take place in the afternoon, namely on Wednesday 4 May at the Messesaal. In the evening there will be the common social evening of the Interalpin and the Meeting of the Austrian Uphill Transportation Systems Operators, including the conferment of the ÖSV Snow Cristal Award. In 2009 the Austrian ski legend Toni Sailer got this award, a few months before his death.

Recently the Interalpin took part successfully at the Ski Build Expo in Moscow where Russian companies showed great interest in the Interalpin, the global leading trade show for alpine technologies.

Interalpin continues presence in Russia

Because the Innsbruck exhibition centre gained a successfully foothold in Russia after organizing an exclusive Interalpin in Sochi/Russia with more than 50 exhibitors in the previous year, the Russia-commitment continues the relationship. Together with the AXESS AG, AST GmbH and Duktus the Interalpin will be present at the Ski build Expo from October 29th – 31st 2010 in the exhibition hall Gostiny Dvor, near the Red Square in Moscow.
This is a further step of Congress & Messe Innsbruck together with the new partner ERTZOG Expo Ltd., in order to advance the internationalization and the degree of fame of the Interalpin, particularly in the promising market of Eastern Europe and Russia.
Also other Interalpin and Sochi exhibitors such as Skado, Gorimpex, Technoalpin, Wintersteiger and Bellutti will take advantage of the presence in Moscow, to test any further cooperation for the future.

Successful Interalpin Golf-Trophy

A big success was the 1st Interalpin Golf-Trophy that took place as a tournament and test-golf shortly at the Golf Club Innsbruck Igls with 50 participants - powered by Doppelmayr, Tiroler Versicherung, TIWAG, TUI – Tiroler Landesreisebüro, Gulet, Bellutti Planen and hofherr communikation. Angelika Falkner and Günther Praxmarer won the gross marking.

The event’s value was additionally increased by the presence oft the Austrian ski legends Heini Messner and David Zwilling as well as by prominent golfers such as Ingo Karl, Franz Hörl and Mike Doppelmayr. So nothing stands in the way of the next Interalpin Golf-Trophy.

Interalpin goes Russia 2012

Again the Interalpin will be representing at the Gostiny Dvor in Moscow. Meet us there from November 1 - 4.

In 2012, Ski Build Expo will also be organized as a b2b “exhibition within an exhibition”....
Today, our online guest is Stefan Kleinlercher, the project manager of Interalpin trade show (Innsbruck, Austria).

Interalpin is the world’s largest and most important trade fair of ropeway systems, artificial snowmaking, and mountain area management.

Stefan Kleinlercher: The idea is just right as the trade visitors do not want to be disturbed by just looking non trade visitors and the exhibiting companies can be sure that everyone who is within the area could be a possible customer for them. This makes the situation with both sides winning (win-win) situation and will improve the quality of the upcoming Ski Build Expo 2012.
