14th INTERALPIN Golftrophy: An exciting tournament day in Igls

In May 2025, INTERALPIN celebrated 50 years of ‘Peak Experience’: half a century of innovation, growth and international leadership in alpine technologies. After this summit experience in May, it was time for some sporting action in Igls: the INTERALPIN Golftrophy once again became a popular meeting place for the industry against an impressive mountain backdrop.

Innsbruck-Igls, 15/09/2025. The 14th INTERALPIN Golftrophy brought together the most influential figures from the cable car and tourism industries on Saturday, 13 September. Around 60 participants enjoyed the course conditions in a great atmosphere. The event, powered by Doppelmayr, was supported by other key players in the industry such as Axess, Alps.Sens, Bellutti, Smart Solutions, SunKid, TechnoAlpin, Fleischhof Oberland, Unterberger, Four Seasons, the Olympia Golf Club Igls and Tirolerin. The participants competed in a 5-player Texas Scramble format. The net victory went to the 5-player flight with Kamran Kiafar, Manuela Schallhart, Tobias Rieser, Dietmar Kratzer and Roland Weinhart. The gross winners were Johannes Wiedorfer, Florian Heigl, Johann-Benedikt Koller, Volker Miklautz and Claudia Schneeberger. Alois Raich and Martin Dolezal won the ‘Nearest to the Pin’ award. The winning teams were then celebrated in style at the Olympia Golf Club Igls.

Annual industry highlight

‘It's great to see how the INTERALPIN Golftrophy has become a regular meeting place for our industry partners over the years, offering a relaxed setting for exchange and networking away from the trade fair days,’ says Christian Mayerhofer, Managing Director of Congress Messe Innsbruck (CMI). Back in May, more than 650 exhibitors from over 50 countries presented innovations in ropeway technology, sustainable snowmaking and digital operating and safety solutions at INTERALPIN 2025. Around 36,800 trade visitors from some 130 countries took advantage of the opportunity for intensive exchange. A particular highlight was the premiere of City Cable Car Solutions (3CS) focusing on urban mobility with cable cars. For the first time, the Inter-Alpine Natural Hazards Conference (INAC) for networking science, industry and infrastructure took place concurrently with INTERALPIN 2025.

INTERALPIN Lounge at the FAFGA

From 15 to 17 September, the INTERALPIN Lounge at FAFGA 2025 invites visitors to exchange ideas and offers space for personal discussions, thought-provoking impulses and forward-looking concepts, as well as a glimpse into the future of cable cars, alpine infrastructure and tourism. Looking back, Stefan Kleinlercher, project manager of INTERALPIN, reports: ‘INTERALPIN 2025 was a complete success and we look back with pride on 50 years of innovation, contacts and inspiration. Similarly, the INTERALPIN Golftrophy and the INTERALPIN Lounge at FAFGA demonstrate how strongly networked the industry is and how valuable personal exchange is.’

The 26th INTERALPIN will take place from 20 to 23 April 2027. Further information is available at: www.interalpin.eu and www.interalpin.tv.
